Boots = Foot Torture Devices
Between the rocks, stubbing toes by kicking roots, the road walk into Suches, and did I mention the rocks, my feet were sore. Adjusting the lacing pattern, frequent resting, soaking in the occasional stream, nightly massages, upping my advil dosage, increasing my water intake and gatoraid powder didn't seem to help. My Sundowners weren't the wonderful boots I had lovingly broken in the month prior to hiking -- what was going wrong? Texas Turtle tells me to stretch more.
