Our Adventure Book
Peregrine forces run deep in some. I'm one of them. Even in high school, there was a pull of the road, racking up surprising mileage when the time might have been better spent studying at a desk. In college, friends like Jeff Kleppin and Eric Rydzewski were great traveling companions -- roadtrips were sanity savers.
Oddly for someone who has been analytical his whole life, I've never dwelled much on the why of my migrations. I don't need a why. Doesn't matter if it is instinct or escapism, there are times travel is the only answer for the moment, be it in front of a tiller, behind the wheel or by foot. My brilliant and beautiful better half Rachel puts it better: to be in motion soothes; the joy is just to feel yourself move.
The links below lead to some of our travels, apart and together. Enjoy.
