Looking down toward Erwin, TN
That's the Nolichucky River in the valley floor. Erwin is around the bend of the river.
I had tried to work out some time with my brother Skip so he could come out on Trail. He's interested, but between family obligations with the kids and the demands of his job, he's uncertain he'll be able to make it. We all make time for what's important to us -- viewed through the lenses of proximity, perspective and competing needs.
If we do connect, I'll have to pull back-to-back 20s to Elk Park. I'll know more tomorrow when I drop down into Erwin.
