Just prior to Seven Lakes, crossed a stream draining a marsh that had cleanish water. No tannins, at least. A quart treated gave me a boost - maybe I'd survive.
Dayhikers enjoying Silver Lake, NY. Heather and Uma lived five feet from the parkway but knew little of the trail. They're hoping to hike a whole lot more.
