On the way to Graylock, Aug 13 Walking alone. Climbing up to Greylock, the highest mountain in Mass, at about 3500 feet. Cloudy morning, as they drift through the forest in a fog and mist. Reminds me of Roan without the cold. Mysterious cabin across a pond. There's a visitors center described in the Companion at the top of this hill. Something called a hut, Bascom Lodge. Good for an early lunch, perhaps. |
