Having hiked down from Blue Mtn to Unicoi Gap, my left achilles and knees barking all the way, we crossed GA Rt 75 to the ascent up Rocky Mountain with our goal being Tray Mountain Shelter. My shelter companions found a bag of fresh oranges left for us. Trail magic -- when something unexpected and wonderful happens during a hike.
Front Seat had left a sign for Fox and me. Ranger Smith & a father and son out for a week's sojourne caught up with us. Those were great oranges.
