Really impressive. Roger told us who did this work, but sadly I forgot to write it down.
I gathered up my journal pages from the green spiral notebook that served as journal since the NJ and the Apple Valley Inn. Jotted off a quick note to my brother Skip that read in part:
'Hey, thought I'd drop something different your way. The enclosed is my personal journal for about the last month of this trip. When done, send to my PO Box in McCoy. The roll of film is also for your consideration.
Wild trail magic tonight - came in for a mail drop here at Glencliff and a local brought me to a hostel where he has the American Museum of Weather. Fed and drank well, and will hit the trail tomorrow. The Whites loom in the distance - my first above treeline tomorrow morning.
OK, the real reason for writing -- should you Skip choose to join me for the 100 mile wilderness, you will need some gear. I've enclosed a brief list -- think upgraded Philmont provisions. Outta space - be cool. Write and let me know your thoughts. Adios, DNA.
