DNA atop Kinsmen South
J: Down off Wolf, past the power lines, then up to Eliza Brook Shelter. Lunched quickly, when up the trail comes Mariner slacking northbound. Cool! First trail family I've seen since Feral Snowman. Wow, then what to my weary eyes appears, but Dannie Be! Southbound on her flipflop. Didn't know she was still on trail - had hoped so - but she didn't seem to be enthusiastic in central PA. Do I love to be wrong or what? She said the Kinsmen were no big deal.
So Mariner and I cruised up at 2.5 mph. Mariner with a fannypack and me with the Beast on my back. Cruised - at least to the south peak, and my best view of Mt Wolf and Moosilauke.
