A look back from half way up
Weather turns on a dime up here. Beautiful morning for an ascent. As Tupelo, Squirrel, Stumpy and I made our way up past the lakes, the sparten trail to the Mt. Washington summit has other attributes. There is the well-trodden trail, the rocks, the tenacious diminutive plants, and there are a pair of crosses where hikers in less friendly weather had succumbed to the elements on their trek.
