Approaching Mt. Madison
The trail wrapped all the way around to Madison Hut (E=4800 ft down there). Walking inside, I found Squirrel and Tupelo, who had a jump on me leaving the Tip Top House. We sat around sharing stories of the rim walk. It was 5 pm, and the sun was now shining through the windows
We could work the Hut if we wanted. Yet... It was awfully pretty out there. OK, we chose to push on up over Madison, this pyramid rock pile looming just on the other side of the Hut.
