Bad DNA and the Prezzies Pausing in my day - 11 am atop some noname mountain (I have no maps now). Blue sky. Washington, Madison and the rest of the boys before me. Occasionally I get a glimpse of summit, 'though clouds still grace the peak. Every minute I wait, the range clears. If I wait long enough, will I have a great photo? Some type of small beast is feeding on the salt of my boot. Maine is something like five miles away. Hard to part from this section. Terrific hiking. Sourball had been going on about Maine for many miles. Slacker, too. They were very fond of Maine -- I guess in a few miles I'll come to understand their perspective. I do miss Virginia and the South, but these sections have been delightful. |
