Made the Spaulding Mountain lean-to for camp. Dinner with a couple of southbounders: Call of the Wild was one, with his shepherd. Three weekenders showed up out doing the 33 mile section from 4 to 27. Long Islanders with apparent ties to the Mob and a lot of money. Flew into Rangeley on their own craft - had their motorcoach meet them at the trailhead. Nice guys - just a different life, listening to them talk.
