Made shelter in mid-afternoon. ANOTHER short day, but for once, my gear has a chance to dry in a great shelter. West Carry pond shelter and laundry service. In with Broken Arrow and Peace of Purple, who blazed up this far as they were running out of time. They brought word about a lot of family behind - most have skipped the Andover/Stratton/Rangeley stretch, worrying about Big K closing. Oh well, to each, their own. Took a while to come out off of little Bigalow - most of the pain is now behind me. Big miles remain, if I can get motivated. Nine days for 165 miles. Really would like to finish on the fifth. Exactly six months. Is that realistic? ALDHA is in the wings, along with my commitment to friends to be there. Best get with the program. Days are growing so much shorter.
