Moxie Pond Crossing
This was a highlight. After the drag over Pleasant Pond Mtn amidst the colors, all the recent water crossings -- even by canoe -- didn't prep me for the frugal Mainer's version of a rope bridge. THIS was a good test for balance. I got lucky - a fisherman agreed to take a picture. Then, I had to come back for the Olympus. It's stuff like this that blow those visions of nailing another high mileage day. Still, a ton of fun crossing Moxie Pond on the cable. Thought for certain I was going in the drink. Two cables strung one above the other over coffee-colored water. Wobbled across.
