Entering the Hundred Mile Wilderness
Immediately, we cross our first ford, the stream out of Spectacle Pond. The colors are fantastic now. The trail crosses and parallels this stream for a short while, then takes us past numerous ponds and on to bigger fords. In weather, texture and color, autumn makes love to Maine.
