Seuss and Mariner passing boots Fording Big Wilson Stream. With so many days of rain, what were normally small streams have swelled to respectable volumes. Or more correctly, respect them - or else. It was a close call for Mariner. Hiking sticks save our rears plenty. And with so many miles left to do in so few days, we didn't have the luxury of mashing our feet up or risking trenchfoot with wet boots, so we all opted for a dry boot crossing here. Seuss got half way, then tossed his to Mariner to free up his hands in case things got particularly sticky midstream. |
