Gulf Hagas, Oct 1 Gulf Hagas - lunch. A chasm carved in the shale by a stream - the canyon is a walled gulf about 500 feet. Impressive cut. Mariner and I hung out in the sun for a while. What a switch from most days in Maine. Amazing number of tourists and dayhikers for a 'wilderness'. Where'd they come from? After lunch, we casually made the three miles to the Newhall L-2, had dinner and called it a day. Not much to say as sleep took me. 78 miles left. |
