Knife Edge along Katahdin
It isn't named KnifeEdge for nothing. Katahdin's singular feature presents the ultimate challenge to any acrophobe -- a hike around the edge of the mountain ridge, with only the shifting talis and the views to keep you grounded.
This shot is from the rock cairn looking mostly north. The clouds were continuing to lift, but most all of us were chilled enough. It was time to leave this last summit. The descent went all too quickly.
