Hitchhiking around New England
After some time at the '94 ALDHA Gathering, I spent a week hitchhiking around New England with new trail friends and solo -- visiting New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Traveling by car was substantially more terrifying than on foot. It took some time to reacclimate to 65 mph, but it was sure easier on the knees and feet. Or not, it wasn't until the end of the year that I began to feel my toes again.
