The old halfway marker Jettbutt and I hiked a few more miles and came across the old halfway marker, a stone pillar. With each year, the length of the trail changes. Relocations and realignments of the footpath change it's length. This naturally moves the precise half way point, and the marker needs to follow. As this huge rock is clearly a lot heavier and harder to move, the A.T.C. opted for the more flexible wooden post and sign we had passed. |
