Hey, that's a Rainbow!
As we began down the other side, a rainbow appeared before us. How magical. That should have been a clue.
Wait, a rainbow? We've got big patches of blue sky, puffy white clouds -- and a lot of wind. Turning around to Madison's summit, there was this massive black cloud stretching all the way around both sides of the mountain, off to Washington and beyond. Devouring the mountaintop in real time. Debris flying through the air. Crazy. Uh oh...
