Rangeley, Maine, Sept 21 Farmhouse Inn. Zero mile day yesterday, save for all the road walking into town and chores. Blue skies over Rangeley Lake. It's early yet. Mountains rise to the west of the lake, gentle hills slope away to the east. Crisp with no wind. Trees are in fully gear, dropping leaves, brilliant colors of yellow, tans and browns. The maples on the hills bring red to the scene. I had stayed again last night at the Inn. Comfortable. Still have to haul rear to make Big K by the fourth, if to catch up with the register notes left by DC, Magoo, Sherbear, JettButt, Big John and Getoverit. |
