Fall Colors
Camp - early a.m. Just on the north side of Saddleback Jr - came down off the peak after sunset. Beautiful. A full food bag weighed me down all day yesterday, after an unexpectedly long stay in Rangeley. Climb and views from all of the peaks were great. Radio says weather is supposed to move in tonight - and I don't expect to make more than 16 miles today. Should put me in the Crockers, after doing Spaulding and Sugarloaf, along with what may be my first serious ford of the area across the Carrabassett River. Sometime after crossing Spaulding, I break under 200 miles, too. Big day. So here I am, well past nine in the a.m., cozy in my bag. Lazy boy.
