Summited Baxter Peak at 11:11

As I crossed the last of the table lands and sighted the sign on the summit, I caught my watch. It was just after 11. Eleven. I wasn't sure why that struck me, then I pulled out my data book. I had jotted down the time I put that pack on at the Visitors Center in Amicalola. 11:11 a.m. Wow -- if I hussled, I could make it. And literally got to touch the sign with my watch for the first time. Serendipity. It had been a charmed hike.
