Fontana Lake from the shore
The grounds around the lake are all kept in park-like condition. The water level was nearly up to normal ('full pond' as they call it at the dam). A good sign that we weren't in any significant drought. Dry conditions make hiking a lot harder, if water sources are running low or dry.
