Family Reunion

Family Reunion

Awoke to a lot of noise coming from the picnic tables. Clanging and voices. Uh, oh. Busted? I stuck my head out of the tent. Oh my -- there's a dozen civilians all walking around in the pavilion, carrying chairs, a lantern, coolers, cans of white gas, big fat green coleman box stoves. I was more surprised than them. Hastily broke camp. I've been invited to sit at one of their tables -- maybe I'll breakfast with them.

Called my college roomie Rich from the phone by the pool - he was home in the town of Phoenixville. Eh, they have boroughs up here -- that's the borough of Phoenixville -- not sure what the distinction is. Rich said he could probably meet me at the P.O., maybe noon. Invited to breakfast with the family. Fantastic food: pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, o.j., coffee (fresh) and all that I wanted. They were entertained at how much I could eat. Yum. Sat and told trail tales until 11, then hiked to the Fayetteville PO to collect my maildrop. Got in by 11:45, no mail drop. Need to write Allen about that. Called the house. Mike said they're talking with the landlord, but we might have to move out of the house by fall. Uh oh. By fall? Like Labor Day, Sept 1? I'm going to have to hitch down to the 'burg and relocate (to a storage bin). I'm not going to be in Maine before then, let alone done. Mike didn't know details. He'd pass my message on to Allen, too.
