Large tree along Trail It's been raining on and off for much of the day. Ups and downs, road crossings. GopherMaine's frustrated with me by my silence, but I need this time to process, to take in the steps. So many of us are in transition out here, in so many ways. Losing ourselves, finding ourselves, getting sick of ourselves, or accepting ourselves. Or maybe we're just chronic walkers, rooted to no particular place, no particular pace. Ear buds in, wandering around on the dial - stations aren't quite as packed as with NJ/NY. Smooth Jazz. My first year of college at Radford, I roomed with an upperclassman Anthony Shaw from Roanoke. Tony was a business major, dressed impeccably, and turned me on to Hiroshima and other smooth jazz. Tony was a good guy. |
